I created this cookies and cream cookies recipe out of exhaustion. As a former home based baker, I’ve experimented with countless ingredients and combinations. Most of the time, I create recipes with multiple steps and techniques. This can mean browning butter, or chilling dough for up to 48 hours. With two kids at my knees, and a household to run, I completely understand that not everybody has the time to brown butter. So, I created this recipe that can go from thought to delicious reality in under 30 minutes.
More importantly, this recipe is super beginner friendly and requires simple tool you most likely already have in your kitchen. These cookies and cream cookies would make a wonderful addition to your holiday baking list, or great cookies for Santa on Christmas eve. They also go great with a large dollop of vanilla ice cream in between them to make the ultimate cookies and cream ice cream sandwich.
Paper or gallon bags
Softened Butter
Granulated Sugar
Light Brown Sugar
Eggs
Bread Flour
Salt, Baking Soda
Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips
Oreo Cookies
Softened Butter: These cookies are meant to have a soft and fluffy textured. If the butter is melted, the texture will be more chewy then design.
Bake Right Away: You can make and bake these cookies very quickly, so they have more flour than other recipes. If they chill in the fridge and are then baked, the resulting cookie will be a lot thicker, and wont spread to desired shape.
Parchment Paper: Be sure to cover your cookie sheet with parchment paper to avoid the cookies are browning or sticking to your cookie sheet.
